The spring 2010 Bird Hunting Derby is scheduled for April 10, 2010.  We look forward to seeing all of you again who have participated in a derby at the Range.  We also encourage everyone to tell your fellow hunters about the derby. 

This year we hope to have our first all woman team.  I know there are alot of female hunters out there so come on gals grab your guns

Also, young hunters without gun safety certificates are welcome to hunt with an adult who has completed the gun safety course.

Some new changes to the prize awarded this year are, in addition to the drawing for the engraved shotgun, tagged birds will be released with prizes that will be awarded at the end of that relay.  A mounted pheasant will be awarded to the individual who registers the most hunters.  The team that bags the most birds will be awarded individual trophies, in the event of a tie there will be a ten (10) clay shoot-off.

When you register for the derby you get one (1) chance to win the engraved shotgun, in addition, each bird you bag gives you one (1) more chance to win.

Remember that at the Range Hunting Preserve, you never need a license, you simply must meet our requirements, and you must want to have a good time while you are here.  Of course being able to hit what you are shooting at helps alot.
